Answering to the Bar Chief, the essential responsibilities and functions of this position are, but not limited to:
• Opening and closing the bar
• Manage bar personnel in the absence of the Bar Chief
• Offer a professional, affable and endearing level of service at all times
• Anticipate the needs of the customers and exceed their expectations;
• Participate in the set-up before, during and after the service according to assigned tasks
• Carry out beverages and supplies requisitions according to the established standards;
• Participate in inventory control activities;
• Maintain the tidiness and aesthetic aspect of the work environment;
• Perfect knowledge of all offers, promotions and services of the establishment;
• Perfect knowledge of all the cocktails and other beverages on the drinks menu and of the dishes on the menu, their garnishes, contents and preparation methods;
• Introduce and guide customers through the drinks menu;
• Explain our vast cocktails list and offer our customers a unique experience; give customers advice on dishes and drinks and make the appropriate complementary recommendations;
• Receive and prepare orders from the waiters and waitresses and customers according to the established standards;
• Ensure invoicing according to the established procedures and be in charge of a petty cash fund;
• Ensure the maintenance of the entire work area and adjacent zones on a daily and weekly basis;
• Ensure the maintenance of the refrigerators and the rotation of products;
• Act as a brand ambassador by maintaining a professional and well-kept appearance;
• Comply with our department’s service standards, policies, procedures and rules;
• Comply with all food safety policies and standards when preparing food and beverages;
• Ensure and maintain a safe work environment;

Qualifications:
• Degree in bar tending and/or at least one-year relevant experience in bar tending;
• Working knowledge of Veloce and Wisk will be considered an advantage
• In-depth knowledge of alcohols, mixology and spirits;
• Excellent communications skills in French and English;

The physical requirements of this position are, but not limited to:
• Walk and stand for the entire duration of the work shift
• Lift and carry charges weighing up to 10 kg (22 lb)
