Under the supervision of the Maitre d’hôtel, the essential responsibilities and functions of this position are, but not limited to:
• In charge of opening and closing the restaurant
• In charge of managing the dining-room staff in the absence of the Maître d’hôtel
• Offer a professional, affable and endearing level of service to all our customers and at all times.
• Ensure optimal communications with the kitchen to keep the kitchen staff aware of any information they need to know.
• Anticipate the needs of the customers and exceed their expectations
• Take orders and proceed to suggestive selling
• Offer customers a unique experience by tailoring your service to their needs.
• Advise customers about dishes and drinks and make the appropriate complementary recommendations
• Ensure efficient team work at all times
• Participate in the set-up before, during and after the service according to assigned tasks
• Collect and register specificities of each customer’s profile according to established standards
• Perfect knowledge of the food and drinks menus and ongoing promotions
• Perfect knowledge of all the dishes on the menu, their garnishes, contents and preparation methods
• Perfect knowledge of the wines list, wines by the glass, cocktails and other drinks on the menu and ability to describe them
• Perfect knowledge of the Food court’s offers and services
• Ensure invoicing according to the established procedures and be in charge of a petty cash fund
• Ensure the maintenance of the entire work area and adjacent zones on a daily and weekly basis
• Act as a brand ambassador by maintaining a professional and well-kept appearance
• Master the standards of the various styles of service
• Comply with the Food court’s service standards, policies, procedures and rules
• Apply the service’s sequence and actions
• Comply with all food safety policies and standards when preparing food and beverages
• Ensure and maintain a safe work environment.

Qualifications:
• Two years of relevant experience in table service
• A degree in table service from a school recognized by the Ministry of Education is considered an advantage
• Knowledge of Veloce and Libro is considered an advantage
• Knowledge of gastronomy and sommellerie
• AVS in sommellerie is considered an advantage
• Excellent communications skills in French and English

The physical requirements of this position are, but not limited to:
• Walk and stand for the entire duration of the work shift
